Ansell Howes Associates is a Limited Company providing a mixture of media and IT related services. This website is a shop window for the photographic activities of the Company. We provide high quality pictures of gardens and horticultural topics through various agencies. Michael Howes’ work is available exclusively through The Garden Picture Library. Photographs by Sarah Lee are primarily available from Garden World Images. Outline text for features can also be provided on request. Other editorial and photographic work can be undertaken on commission, but for stock pictures and features the Company does not normally deal direct with customers. We prefer to operate through our agents. Michael Howes specialises in practical gardening pictures, vegetable and fruit production, and feature sets of gardens, trees & woodland. Sarah Lee’s work concentrates on the wealth of detail to be found in gardens, for example plant combinations and close up plant portraits, as well as garden feature sets. Both photograph for the National Gardens Scheme, covering Hertfordshire, Essex and Suffolk in particular. A wide range of garden types has been photographed, including several special gardens in France and the Caribbean. Sarah Lee and Michael Howes are both members of the Garden Writers’ Guild. Michael Howes is currently Honorary Secretary of the Garden Writers’ Guild and represents the profession on the Creators’ Rights Alliance. He also lectures on garden photography for the Royal Horticultural Society.
